Maruti Suzuki
Replacing it is this, the new Zen Estilo. Adding that Estilo tag to the hallowed Zen brandname might have just saved Maruti Suzuki's skin. I can imagine hordes of Zen lovers banging on the gates of MUL's Gurgaon plant demanding that the Zen tag be removed from the new car – How can you call this the new Zen – it's just a funky Wagon R! The original Zen was a snappy, honest, fun-to-drive number, but this looks like one of those preening, self-conscious kind of cars that are indifferent to drive.

2007 Suzuki SX4 Review
We've done our best to increase awareness for this worthwhile vehicle, but until Suzuki increases production and puts forth some advertising, it's destined to remain a secret between you and us.
Why We Drove It
Small cars - everyone's talking about them because of the price of gas. Extended warranties - even if we only keep the car six months, we all like a product that's backed until it literally falls apart. Utility - we live in a consumer society, so we need vehicles that carry all of our stuff. All-wheel drive - so what if I live in southern California - it rains here, doesn't it? All are points addressed by the 2007 Suzuki SX4, a little crossover wagon thing that, at $15,594 (including a $595 destination charge), is the least expensive all-wheel-drive vehicle on the market. For those reasons and more, the SX4 easily deserved a week of our time for evaluation.

Suzuki Swift - Car Review
Perfect for: Anyone on a budget – male or female (it’s got uni-sex appeal!)
Thumbs up: 6-speaker MP3-compatible stereo with controls on steering wheel
Thumbs down: Cheap and nasty-looking trim
Safety: 4/5 stars from ANCAP
Eco and economy: Drinks 6 litres per 100km; 3.5 / 5 eco stars
Gossip: The Swift was a big hit back in the1980s.
Justin Timberlake sings about bringing sexy back, but I think it’s time to bring Suzuki back – namely I’m singing the praises of the Swift. The Swift of course was a big in the 1980s and just like the Dunlop Volley, it unjustifiably went out of fashion. But given the trend for small cars right now, I reckon it’s time to try the Swift back on for size. The Suzuki Swift is a sporty/quirky-looking, buff little number with killer curves even Jennifer Lopez would applaud.
Speaking of J-Lo, the booty is rounded and big enough to throw in a small surfboard with the rear seat folded down and the cabin feels particularly spacious and wide in comparison to others in its class.
The drive is firm, tight and light with just the right amount of torque for both city and highway driving. On the downside, interior trim is plastic-y and cheap looking, and the dash is all very basic but with so much else going for the Swift, this really shouldn’t be the focus. Vision is excellent in the Swift thanks to the huge wrap around window design and high seating, and the Swift fulfils all your safety requirements with front, side and curtain airbags and ABS with EBD and brake assist.
Additionally, the Swift comes with all the must-have creature comforts you would expect such as air-conditioning, power windows, remote central locking, a leather steering wheel, a cool 6-CD audio, an immobilser, fuel consumption per 100km dash display gauge, cruise control and alloy wheels.

Maruti Suzuki launches new Zen Estilo : MR wagon ?
Because it’s built on the same wheelbase and uses the same seats, legroom and general space are almost identical to that of the new WagonR.The rear seat are comfortable and under thigh support is also decent but its nowhere near the cars in the same class like the Indica, Palio or even the Santro. But like wagonR it can clearly swallow more luggage. The new Zen comes with a choice of 145 or 155 tyres, depending on the model. The new Zen comes with an eight colour line-up offering vivid and chromatic colours. The company has chosen interesting colours like Purple Fusion, Champagne Beige, Virgin Blue and Olive Green for Zen, to go with the car’s stylish image.
The first Suzuki MR Wagon was first down to the world at an auto show in Tokoyo in 1999. At that time, it had a mid-mounted engine with a monform body. The car-gazers cheered, and two years later, the Suzuki MR Wagon was ready to roll. When it came out, however, the MR Wagon retained the same shape, but had a front-mounted engine.
It was in 1993 that maruti launched its second car, the Zen. The Zen tried to capitalise on the runaway success of the Maruti 800, but it did not sell well initially. The high price was a deterrent. The 50 bhps of power was not tantalising either. In 1998, the Diesel Zen was launched, which spurred some buyers. Still, the car’s price did not attract many buyers. In 2000, the company launched the Zen with MPFI and more power, which made it a value-for-money car. Maruti then attempted to introduce the “Carbon” and “Steel”, both export surplus cars.

Maruti launches Estilo, new version of Zen
NEW DELHI: Maruti Udyog on Tuesday unveiled here the new version of its popular Zen model under Estilo, pricing the base version at Rs. 3.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
According to MUL Managing Director Jagdish Khattar, "the new Zen will appeal to young people of the new India, just as the original Zen appealed to the India of the mid-1990s".
The Estilo, named after the Spanish word for `style', is expected to strengthen the company's position in the compact car segment where it already has models like the Alto, the Wagon R and the Swift. Its aggressive entry level pricing is also expected to make it highly competitive in the market. The base variant Estilo Lx has been priced at Rs. 3.19 lakh and the top-end Estilo Vxi ABS will cost Rs. 4.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Estilo Lxi will cost Rs. 3.48 lakh, while the Estilo Vxi will be priced at Rs. 3.73 lakh.
The company says the Estilo offers features like power windows on all the four doors, five-door power locking, internally controlled outsider-rear-view-mirrors and speaker provision in all four doors. It also provides an option of advanced features such as ABS and Airbag in the top-end variant.
According to MUL, the Zen Estilo is roomier than the original Zen and sports a bigger engine (1061 cc). "It is taller and it offers more boot space and superior air conditioning. It delivers 64 bhp and its low-end torque makes it ideal for Indian city conditions,'' it is stated.
The company says the MUL engineering team, which had earlier collaborated with the Japanese counterparts in Suzuki Motor Corporation to design the Swift and also face-lifted the WagonR, has worked on the Zen Estilo as well.

Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo Review
The specs for the engine are as follows:
- 1061cc
- 64.8ps
- 84Nm,
- 4-cylinder
- 16-valve
- MPFI F10D Petrol
Maruti has increased the interior space by extending the dashboard area of the car over the engine thus leaving little space in the engine compartment but certainly no complaints from me as you spend most of the time inside!
Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo car has high mileage. You can get a maximum mileage of 22 kmpl at 5th gear at constant 50 kmph with 2 persons inside. Totally you can get an average mileage of 14.5 kmpl without AC and 14 kmpl with AC. Even at 4th gear you can go as slow as 20 kmph without knocking. The aerodynamic design is best in this car among Indian cars.
